The first 4 images give some idea of the slope to be coped with, it was very steep to work on. The frame was pinned at the edge adjoining the paviours with 10mm dia steel rod at 500 mm centres and 500 mm deep to stop any lateral slip.

We covered the ground with heavy polythene to stop any weed growth under the deck. Having driven the post spikes down to earth level, they were concreted in and then the posts were bolted to the deck frame with 10mm coach bolts. The deck was then laid with 125 mm x 35 mm boards, double screwed over the whole 9 meter length.

When the edging was finished the whole external was covered using shiplap boards down to ground level to look neat and tidy.
